Are we spending too much on ...

Putting too many $$$$ into the tar and Cement??? Spending all our funds on " Buildings for Schools??" Bricks & mortar do not Educate Children !!! PAY TEACHERS MORE! Hire MoRe teachers .please do not spend money TESTING teachers ! Children need attention! Kindness, they do not need Angry, stressed out teachers !!

        I agree with most of your comment except for the testing teachers bit. Our children need teachers that know what they are teaching, not teachers that just read it out of a book.

        I agree with your statement that we should not spend more money testing teachers. Basing measurements for teacher performance on standardized test scores encourages them to spend more time preparing students for standardized tests than teaching them to be innovative and creative. However, I don't think most teachers need a pay raise. They just need to know that their pensions and public respect are not based on constantly changing political winds.
